日本の深谷秀隆が立ち上げた、イタリアの高級靴ブランド。完全オーダーメイド制で、採寸から仕上げまで全て深谷自身の手によって行われます。そのため最低でも3000ユーロからと値段は高価になりますが、高いクオリティで世界中に多くの顧客を抱えています。工房名の「イルミーチョ」は、日本語で「子猫」を意味しています。猫の自由気ままな性格に自身を投影して名付けたそうです。もともとアパレルブランドのデザイナーとして活躍していた深谷氏は、「どうせやるならば誰にもできないことを」と考え、レザー好きだったということもあり、靴職人になることを決意したといいます。有名ブランドのデザイナーをすっぱりと辞め、単身イタリアへ渡り、まさに自由気ままに自分の好きなことに飛び込んでいく「イルミーチョ」そのものです。
