マリオ・ムスカリエッロ（Mario Muscariello）は、ジュゼッペ・ムスカリエッロによりナポリ近郊、ナポリサルトの聖地といわれる町サン・ジョルジオ・ア・クレマーノで創業されました。現在の工房は1964年に創業しましたが、その系譜は1870年代に活躍したシャツ職人である初代に遡る歴史ある一族です。元々はシャツとナイトウエアーを手がける工房でしたが、1973年よりス・ミズーラのハンドメイドシャツ製作を開始しました。父・ジュゼッペから教わった伝統的なハンドメイドシャツ作りに、息子・マリオが現代的なデフォルメを加えることで「マリオ・ムスカリエッロ」はクラシックをベースにした新しさを放っています。シャツラインは、ドレスシャツ（9工程）、ウォッシュドシャツ（5工程）、フェイクポロ（5工程）、カプリシャツ（4工程）を展開しています。ドレスシャツの9工程-袖ぐり、カフス、襟、前立て、カミチェリアボタンホール、ボタン付け、ヨーク、カンヌキ、ガセット-は全て手縫いで縫われています。ボタンにはオーストラリア産の本物の真珠貝を使用し、Zampa di Gallina（鶏の足）と呼ばれるナポリ伝統のステッチング技法でボタン留めが施されています。2009年にはサルト工房を新設し、ナポリのサルト職人を招き入れてスタートしたジャケットラインでは、シャツジャケットとジャケットを展開しています。いずれも、彼らが最もこだわる魔法のような絶妙なフィッティングと、ナポリ伝統のハンドワークが生み出すしなやかさが特徴です。
