CLARKS(クラークス)とは、イギリスの老舗ブーツブランド。英国で現存している最古の靴ブランドとして知られています。歴史は1825年にサイラス・クラークス氏とジェームス・クラークス氏の兄弟によって立ち上げられたことにより始まりました。当初はシープスキンを使用したスリッパが主力アイテムで、そのヒットを機に「柔らかい素材のソフトな履き心地の靴」を追求していきました。人間工学に基づいたシューズを作った先駆的存在です。その後、1950年に世界初の「デザートブーツ」を発売したことで大きな転機を迎え、アメリカで爆発的なヒットをしました。1966年に発売された「ワラビーブーツ」もクラークス社の商標で、あまりにも有名なシューズです。
