    kolor is a Japanese fashion brand. They offer both men's and women's wear. Designer Junichi Abe was born in 1965. He studied fashion at Bunka Fashion College's Apparel Design Department. After graduating, he worked for several apparel manufacturers before going independent and founding his own brand, kolor, in 2004. He started his collection in 2005S/S. He has been presenting his collection at Paris Men's Fashion Week since his 2012-13A/W collection. In 2012, he won the Grand Prize at the 30th Mainichi Fashion Awards. In the same year, he launched a new men's brand, kolor BEACON. In June 2013, he was selected as the main guest designer at Pitti Uomo and presented his 2014S/S men's collection. His designs, which are in tune with the mood of the times and focus on the balance of patterns, materials, and sewing, are popular. Abe's creative use of colors and development of innovative materials are highly regarded.
