SCHNEIDERS社（シュナイダー）は、1890年、オーストリアのウィーンでゴム製品を販売する会社を創業。 その後ザルツブルグにコートを生産する工場を設立し、モーターサイクリストの為の防水、ラバートレンチコートを発表しました。 ヨーロッパチャンピオンとなったFritz Dirtiがモデルを務めた完全防水のコートが大成功をおさめ、本格的な洋服の生産を始めました。 やがてチロル地方の伝統的な生地「ローデン・クロス」を使った格調高いコートを作り、世界中の紳士淑女を魅了。 ヨーロッパでは『シュナイダーのコートはステイタスの証である』と称されています。 またヨーロッパではトラディショナル（伝統的）でノーブル（高貴）なスタイルとされるローデンコートは、貴族階級やセレブリティたちの冬の必携スタイルとされています。 ファッションの国イタリアでも、ローデンコートは多くのショップの定番商品として扱われています。
