ディースクエアードはデザイナーのディーンとダンの二人によって1965年カナダで生まれました。イタリア人の父とイギリス人の母との間に生まれた双子の兄弟。互いにトロントでデザイナーとして6年のキャリアを積んだあと、ミラノに渡りフリーのデザイナー、スタイリストなどを経験し、1994年「D2（ディースクエアード）」としてミラノコレクションでデビュー。「自分たちが着たいものをつくる」というコンセプトでつくられたディースクエアードのカジュアルウエアは、近代的なベーシックをもとにしたイタリアンモードとアメリカンスポーツを融合させた彼ら独特のクリエイションで好評を得ています。
