    Merola was founded in Rome, Italy in 1885. It is one of Italy's leading luxury glove manufacturers, and is as popular as DENTS in the UK. The excellence of Merola's gloves was known throughout Italy at the time, but they gained worldwide fame when they were awarded a gold medal at the World's Fair held in San Francisco in 1915.
