The FORBICI DORO (Golden Scissors Award) is the most prestigious award in the Italian tailoring world. Franco Prinzivali is the chief judge of the award and is the most highly regarded artisan in Italy for inheriting traditional techniques. Franco began his career as a tailor at the tender age of 13, and three years later moved to Milan, the city of fashion, to study under the legendary tailor A. Caraceni. Under the master's guidance, he learned not only outstanding techniques but also the proud tailor's spirit of "facing the customer and the clothes with sincerity." He then dramatically developed his innate talent and achieved the feat of winning the FORBICI DORO at the young age of 30, the youngest person ever to receive the award. Since then, he has received various awards and honors, including the Ambrosino d'Oro Award, given to a living national treasure of Milan, and the Lombardy per il Lavoro Award, in recognition of his contributions to the revitalization of the Lombardy region's economy and industry, earning him an unshakable position as a tailor and prestige as a person.
