「MARIA SANTANGELO(マリア・サンタンジェロ)社」は、マリア・サンタンジェロ女史により1953年ナポリにて創業。マリア女史は、祖母の代からシャツ作りに携わり、忠実にその頃の職人のシャツ作りを守っています。現在はナポリでも工場に生地が入りシャツとなり、箱に入って同じ工場から出荷するまでを一貫して行っているファクトリーが「Maria Santangelo(マリア・サンタンジェロ)」以外には１、２社となってしまっているほど稀有な存在になっています。70才を過ぎてもなおメガネもかけず、大型の機械に頼らず生地をカットするマリア女史の姿は惚れ惚れするほど。現在もその技術を受け継いだ子供たちと約30名の職人により運営されています。
