MARMOLADA(マルモラーダ)はイタリア北部のドロミテ、アルプスを眺めるＶＥＮＥＴＯ（ベネト）地方に唯一残る１８９０年代創業の職人メーカーで作られるクライミングブーツ。この地方は、登山用に向けたノルベジェーゼ製法に代表するハンドメイドシューズノ深い歴史を持つ。その裏付けとして、世界的にも知られるＡＳＯＬＯ，ＴＥＣＮＩＣＡ，ＤＯＲＯＭＩＴＥ等アルペンスポーツシューズガ立ち上げられたことがあげられる。地元に基づかれたハンドメイドによる靴造りは、国外での生産と進展していく中、ＧＩＡＣＯＭＥＴＴＩ兄弟は、この伝統を現代化することに成功し、この土地に唯一残る紳士靴メーカーと成ると共に、世界マーケットに向け、フランストラッドやクラシックブランドをメインに多くの一流ブランドの下請けを器用にこなす技術を継承した。そしてＧＩＡＣＯＭＥＴＴＩ兄弟はクラシックシューズブランド、Ｆ．ｌｌｉ Ｇｉａｃｏｍｅｔｔｉ（ＧＩＡＣＯＭＥＴＴＩ兄弟）を立ち上げた。MARMOLADA(マルモラーダ)は、このようなクラシックシューズを作る繊細で高い技術を持つファクトリーにおいて、社長兄弟が生まれ育った地域の原点を回顧し現代の技術で作られるトレッキングシューズです。
