マルチェラ・バンディーニが50年代にアトリエをGREV IN CHIANTIに開きました。当時はニットのスミズーラのみを行い、同時にニット編織りの使い方を人々に教えていました。60年代になり旦那のディノと息子のクラウディオはフィレンツェに高級ニットのみを扱う工場を開業します。その当時の下請けとしてFERRAGAMO、LOEWE、LANVINなどの一流ブランドのニットを生産していました。『VERTO(ベルト)』はその歴史と芸術工芸職人芸で有名なフィレンツェでその伝統を受け継ぎ、同時にその時代を知らない世代に受け継ぐ目的で2004年に生まれました。生産背景には今まで化石的存在の編機や、新しいアイデアを実現させることが可能な最新編機、そして温かみのある手編みで仕上げるハンドニットなど、時代に合わせて出来ないものはないほどキャパシティを持っています。今でも有名なブランドの下請けも後を絶ちません。それゆえコストパフォーマンスがあり、かつ100%MADE IN ITALYで魅力的な製品を作り続けています。
