Kilgour is a long-established tailor brand that was founded in 1885 and is a supplier to the British Royal Family. In the 1930s, the Stanbury brothers joined the company, bringing sharp and elegant elements to Kilgour. The brand has long been known for its innovative designs, such as making light suits at a time when suits made of heavy fabrics were still the norm. It is also famous as a prestigious brand that has produced many master tailors, including the legendary cutter Tommy Nutter. Timothy Everest, who became famous as a new bespoke tailor in the 1990s, and Givenchy designer Oswald Boating were his disciples, and it is their high technical skills that have been passed down through the generations that support the modern designs of today's suits. The customer list includes Hollywood greats such as Fred Astaire and Cary Grant, modern movie stars such as Hugh Grant, Brad Pitt, and Jude Law, and musicians such as Eric Clapton and Elton John, and is popular with media people both old and new.
