About the product

This is a baldachin coat made of a light, slightly thin cotton fabric. It has a modern silhouette with a moderate amount of room, and is finished with a clean look with a concealed front. You can enjoy a light and comfortable fit with minimal secondary materials such as lining.

Condition details: There is a 5mm hole (torn fabric) in the vent stitching, dirt on the collar, cuffs, abdomen and hem, small scratches on the abdomen and right sleeve, slight stickiness on the inner fabric due to aging, fading on the surface, and other signs of wear.

■ BRAND

Mackintosh is a long-established British outerwear brand. Its founder, Charles Mackintosh, established his own company to manufacture special fabrics and coats, and the "rubberized coat" quickly spread throughout Europe. Riding coats became popular among the British upper class, and due to their high practicality, they were adopted by the British Army and the British National Railway. Mackintosh's rubberized coats are still made using the same method as they were back then. All sewn seams are lined with waterproof tape, and the lining and pockets are also attached by glue, making them completely waterproof. This process is carried out by craftsmen taking a special glue on their fingers, stretching, pasting, rolling, and drying repeatedly. Then, a "Genuine Handmade" label is sewn under the MACKINTOSH brand label.
