    Mackintosh is a long-established British outerwear brand. Its founder, Charles Mackintosh, established his own company to manufacture special fabrics and coats, and the "rubberized coat" quickly spread throughout Europe. Riding coats became popular among the British upper class, and due to their high practicality, they were adopted by the British Army and the British National Railway. Mackintosh's rubberized coats are still made using the same method as they were back then.
