1931年にデンマークで創業したニット専業ブランド「S.N.S HERNING（エスエヌエスハーニング）」。１９２０年代後半、彼はニットの製法やその独自の編地には外気を絶縁する機能があり、寒さから守ってくれる事を学びました。イングランドやドイツから入ってきたニッティングマシンにその編地をインプットし、１９３１年からニットの生産を始めます。そのオリジナルのニッティングマシーンを用いた、目の詰まった保温性に優れたマリンボーダーニットは、瞬く間に地元のフィッシャーマン達に好評を得、今まで変わらぬ製法でフィッシャーマンセーターを作り続け、当時と同じ伝統技術を継承しています。 毎シーズンのコレクションの大半は以前編まれたスタイルのリメイクか過去のアーカイブからの編みのパターンに基づいたスタイルを提案し続けています。それだけ完成度の高いものを創設当初から展開していた証です。
