オーバーコート(OVERCOAT)は、「ニューヨークを着る(Wearing New York)」をブランドの原点におき、デザイナーの大丸隆平がスタートしたブランド。設立当初は、ザ グレイテスト オーバーコート プロジェクト バイ オオマル セイサクショ 2(THE GREATEST OVERCOATS PROJECT by oomaru seisakusho 2)という名で、コートのみのブランドとしてユニセックスで展開していた。しかし、数シーズンを経て、現在ではジャケット、パンツ、シャツ、スカーフなどトータルルックを製作するようになっている。ニューヨークのファクトリー「oomaru seisakusho 2」では、アポイント制でカスタムオーダーにも対応している。パターンは、特にショルダーラインに工夫を凝らしているのが特徴。プレタポルテでありながら、まるでオートクチュールのように、着る人にフィットする美しいシルエットを築く。サイズ・ジェンダー・エイジを問わないボーダレスなデザインを提案している。素材は、世界最高品質を誇るメーカーと共同開発し、かつての制服や軍服に使われていたものを復刻したり、ユニークな後加工を施したりすることで、常にアップデートしている。
