BEGG&CO(ベグアンドコー)は、1866年にアレックス・ベグによってスコットランドの中でも繊維業が盛んなペイズリーという街で、馬車用のショールを織る工場として創業しました。ペイズリーで1902年まで実業を続けた後、西海岸のアイルに工場を移します。17世紀の昔ながらの伝統的な織り方と毛織物製品の質の高さが有名です。1860年代に同ブランドが製造した2つの最古のペイズリーショールのうちの一つはスコットランドのペイズリーミュージアムに展示されています。
