Grenson was founded in 1866 by William Green as Green and sons, and the traditional British shoe industry has been highly regarded since the mid-19th century. The invention of the Goodyear Welt method led to a boom in business, and its popularity spread throughout the world, causing a sudden increase in demand for British shoes. Among them, Grenson has continued to insist on handmade products while many shoe manufacturers have switched to mass production and promoted mechanization and efficiency in manufacturing processes, and has established an unshakable position. In 2010, creative director Tim Little acquired Grenson and transformed it into a new brand that is traditional yet modern.
